ずいこうじ／大阪市東淀川区瑞光2丁目2番2号）には，クジラの骨でできている橋があります。「雪鯨橋（せつげいきょう）」と呼ばれるその橋は，境内にある弘済池に架かっています。</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P><br /><br />　その由来は―<br />1756年（宝暦6年），南紀太地浦（現在の和歌山県太地町付近）でクジラ漁を営む村に，瑞光寺の住職・潭住知忍（たんじゅうちにん）禅師が立ち寄った折のことです。当時，不漁に苦しんでいた村民に，豊漁祈願の依頼を受けましたが，殺生を嫌った知忍 禅師は容易には承知しませんでした。それでも，苦しむ村民たちを目の前にして，ついに願いを聞き入れ祈願したところ，豊漁となりました。大いに喜んだ村民たちは，感謝のしるしとして瑞光寺にクジラの骨を納めました。その骨で作られたのが「雪鯨橋」です。「雪鯨橋」には，クジラの冥福を祈り，すべての生き物の命を大切にしようという知忍 禅師の想いが込められています。<br /><br
